Join Phantom // Lead Brewer

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 Annually. Salary depending on experience

We are looking for a brewing professional to take up the role of Lead Brewer. Phantom Brewing Co opened in 2019 in Reading, Berkshire. We currently brew on a 3 vessel 15HL SSV brewhouse, brewing a range of one-off beers with a focus on hop-forward and sour beer.

Key responsibilities:

• Helping run all aspects of daily operations, including brewing, cellaring and packaging, including running our centrifuge
• Assisting with production planning and stock control
• Keeping and improving our record system
• Working with the rest of the brew team to help push the quality of the beer produced
• Cleaning, housekeeping and general organisation of the brew floor area

Skills & experience:

• Brewing qualifications such as IBD Diploma, or BSc Brewing Science are desirable
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a production brewery
• Relishes responsibility with a track record of taking the lead and solving problems
• Hands-on approach and confident first-line maintenance skills
• Hardworking, dedicated, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Passionate and motivated about the beer industry
• Right to live and work in the UK
